Valentin Hennig, born in 1986 in Herrenberg, studied Art Education from 2007 to 2013 at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe under Professors Silvia Bächli and Corinne Wasmuht. In 2010, he spent a semester as a guest student at the HfbK Dresden under the guidance of Professor Hans-Peter Adamski. Following this, he completed the postgraduate program "Intermedia Design" in 2014 under the mentorship of Professors Wolfgang Mayer and Christina Gomez-Barrio
(Discoteca Flaming Star) at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart. In 2016, he was awarded the academic title "Master Student of the Weißenhof Program at ABK Stuttgart."
Valentin Hennig is a freelance multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker based in Stuttgart. In addition to his artistic endeavors, he is interested in conveying artistic thinking, learning, and action as a lecturer of Video Art at the Stuttgart Art Academy (from 2022 to 2024) and as an art educator for the Stuttgart Art Museum. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Artists' Association of Baden-Württemberg. Currently, he is completing his teacher training as an art educator.
